Jonathan Pease (JP), Executive Ideas Director / Managing Partner
at top advertising agency Tongue.
An ‘ideas man’ by trade, JP is currently the Managing Partner and Executive Ideas Director of his own ideas agency, Tongue. With offices in Sydney and Melbourne, Tongue works with high-profile clients including Telstra, BlackBerry, and Absolut to name a few. As a firm believer that everyone can be creative, he often leads large-scale brainstorm sessions for his corporate clients. JP has a Master of Business from Sydney University and currently runs ‘BIG’, an ideas course at the Communications Council. JP is also on the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Vanguard Board.
Chris Bosse from Laboratory For Visionary Architecture (L-A-V-A)
Chris Bosse is director of LAVA Asia Pacific based in Sydney, Australia and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney. Educated in Germany and Switzerland, Chris has worked with several high-profile European architects before moving to Sydney. Whilst Associate Architect at PTW Architects in Sydney he completed many projects in Asia and the Middle East. His work on the Watercube Olympic swimming centre in Beijing received the Atmosphere Award at the 9th Venice Architecture Biennale; and he won an Emerging Architect Award from RIBA in 2008 London and a 40 Under 40 Award in 2012.
Mark Elliott Design Director / Managing Director at PointOfView.
Mark has over a decades’ experience as an architectural lighting design consultant. Trained as a furniture designer he calls upon these skills in detailing light into architecture. His broad international experience as a lighting designer includes work across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australasia and America. Mark has resided in Australia since 2004. He is Design Director at architectural lighting design practice PointOfView. His role is pivotal to ensure consistency and excellence in the quality of design.
Donn Salisbury, Director of Electrolight Sydney, host of the event.
Donn’s 16 years experience in lighting design and track record delivering some of Australia’s most innovative projects is testament to his reputation in the industry. With a background in visual arts, Donn continually pushes the barriers of creativity. He is the recipient of multiple awards for his designs and has delivered hundreds of successful projects during his career. Donn is the Director of Electrolight Sydney and Co-founder of Objective:Light.
Music/entertainment provided by singer/songwriter/keyboard player Eleanor Dunlop and guitarist Jonathan Khor ‘Kid‘ (Sleep Makes Waves) both of whom played in hot indie band Cameras and toured in support of Bryan Ferry, (must be good then).
Food will be of the finger/stand up variety (delicious and plentiful). Drinks will be selected wines and beer.
