The lens system of Quadra very efficiently produces a particularly uniform beam. The luminaires photometrics have been optimised in terms of efficient visual comfort by using an anti-glare frame and cross baffle and a cut-off angle of 30°. This combination of economic ambient light, striking design and particularly shallow recess depth makes the Quadra a truly unique luminaire. The Quadra is an ideal lighting tool for promotional areas in shops or administrative buildings, where economical solutions and brilliance are required for the illumination of merchandise, objects and material.

LED recessed luminaires with control gear

ERCO´s recessed luminaires with LED are now always supplied as a unit with optimally matched, pre-connected control gear. Lamp and control gear are precisely tailored to each other to ensure maximum life and performance, while the outer dimensions facilitate installation.

The innovative lens system of the Quadra products is also available in round version in the downlight range Compact LED.

Downlights

The cut-off angle of 30° in combination with the cross baffle ensures good visual comfort of the Quadra luminaires. The observer is not subjected to direct glare in the cut-off area. In addition to superior efficiency of the LED lens system, other aspects of Quadra with a positive effect on the overall efficiency of a building project include easy installation and compact dimensions.

Installation

The clamping mechanism on the mounting frame allows the luminaires to be installed quickly and without tools in ceilings of different thicknesses. Details of the minimum recess depth take account of the thermal aspects of sufficient air circulation above the luminaire, but also easy insertion of the control gear in the ceiling aperture.

Flush or covered

The choice between two mounting frames enables the mounting frame to be either flush mounted with the ceiling or to cover the edge.

Heat management

ERCO´s development engineers use computer simulations to optimise the heat management. This is required to protect the heat-sensitive electronic components even when used in continuous operation and improves the performance and life of the light sources.

Luminaires with control gear

Luminaires with LEDs are always provided as a unit with matched, pre-connected control gear. This package of luminaire and control gear has many advantages for the user. The combination has been tested for ideal operation and safety, guaranteeing, in particular, compliance with EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) requirements. Lamp and control gear are precisely tailored to each other to ensure maximum life and performance, while the outer dimensions facilitate installation.

Control gear versions

The luminaire/ control gear units with LED are often available in three versions: switchable, dimmable through trailing edge technology, or DALI-controlled.

Switchable or dimmable

Switchable LED luminaires with control gear can be switched on or off as required using manual switches or actuators. Dimmable LED luminaires with control gear can be operated via the circuit using external trailing-edge dimmers.

DALI

Luminaires with DALI control gear provide the advantage of factory encoding. This enables automatic recognition of the luminaire in the Light Studio software to provide relevant luminaire information and functions. Convenient commissioning utilising all the advantages of networking.

Lens system

The innovative lens system of Quadra reduces the height of the recessed luminaires considerably. The lens system made of optical polymer is highly efficient and works on the principle of total internal reflection. As with the other LED lenses, this system has also been developed exclusively by ERCO and is produced in-house.

Alignment of the lens system

The alignment of the oval beam of Quadra luminaires with oval flood lens system is determined by the mounting position of the luminaire. The lens system is provided with a bar for precise marking.

Lighting guidance

The lens system made of optical polymer is characterised by superior efficiency and a very precise and uniform beam.

Lens system wide flood

The wide beam, rotationally symmetrical light distribution is ideal for efficient general lighting in conference rooms, sales areas or traffic zones. The additional cross baffle ensures superb visual comfort.

Lens system oval flood

The axially symmetrical light distribution provides efficient illumination for halls and corridors and for tables or shop displays. The cross baffle ensures good visual comfort.
The oval flood lens system produces an oval beam of about 45° by 90°. Its orientation is determined by the luminaire´s mounting position.
